PH TEST STRIPS - When opening the foil pack, the reagent pad at the tip of the pH test strips should be a light yellowish color or a light green color. The reagent pad is calibrated explicitly for a low range between 3.5 and 6.5 (for vaginal fluid). Use a cotton swab (not included), to collect a sample of vaginal fluid and wet the reagent pad, wait for 30 seconds, then compare it to the color chart. (Do not urinate on the test strips as they are not for UTI testing or ovulation monitoring).

PH TEST RESULTS - If the color stays yellowish or light green, your vaginal pH is normal. If the color turns a dark green or blue, your vaginal pH is abnormal and may be a sign of an infection. COMMON VAGINAL INFECTIONS - Yeast infections do not usually have an elevated pH level, so the test strips may remain yellowish or light green even though you are experiencing a thick white discharge with no odor.
